At Jeanne d’Arc high school, a group of 12 students took part in a five-session program focused on sustainable IT practices. The workshops addressed topics like environmental impact, artificial intelligence, and social media. The students’ curiosity and critical thinking made the experience rewarding and led to plans for a second group after spring break.
On February 10, 2025, around twenty teachers at Jeanne d’Arc Middle School in Gex took part in a participatory conference on sustainable IT practices. Together, we explored the environmental and social impacts of digital technology, debunked common misconceptions, and discussed future challenges linked to AI and critical resources. This awareness session marks the first step in an ambitious educational project for all 8th-grade classes.
Feedback on the sustainable IT conferences I attended at Swiss IT forum(s) 2024, held on 26 and 27 September at Palexpo (Geneva).
